Folding the windscreen
How does that work?:
Like on the TJ, with detachable side Roll-bar tubes?
Is there a Full Roll-cage in there now?
(If the top-side-tubes are not fixed (as on TJ etc.), this then means; winscreen down on topless only?)
Anyone see an option for a full Roll-cage, do we need to go exoscheleton?
How much work is needed in prep for folding down the windscreen?

Roll bar at windsheild is sim to TJ.
Exo will not be neccesary.
I can't imagine why you would drop the windsheild but keep the (factory) top on.
A bikini on the custom rollbar I suppose.
There's a fair bit of things to remove. Looks similar to my friend's 04 TJ unlimited.

Windshield down
Thanks for the reply
Somewhat similar to TJ, maybe more plastic coverings. OK!
The reasoning for the Exo was for the added security.
With an Exo Cage you could get out of a gentle roll with only scratches.
A roll or a low branch will do the evil thing to your windshield and frame.
Further an Exo can be extended back to support a roof rack.

This is from stu-offroads site. He has the same setup, with additional tie in to the floor.
No exoskeleton, The jeep loooks like hell, but was driven home after this rollover.
Here's his write up on the sports bar mod.

Tracy's Rollover ~ 20 sec. 6/11/02
This is a 6MB mpg file of Tracy's rollover during the 2AJUMR. She was exiting Hell's Gate, on the Hell's Revenge trail, when her TJ went over. I was not there at the time as I was leading another run on another trail. I talked to Tracy shortly after she got back to town, driving her TJ. You can see some still pics of it here. Luckily, she was only shaken up and had a slight bump. Another friend drove her rig up and out of the Hell's Gate after they got it upright and checked out.

Tracy's Rollover
Amazing, thanks
I had seen that video, in fact that was the very rollover I had in my mind when I quizzed about the exocage earlier in this thread.
I believe a strong exo would have spared her hood and windshield.
Only thing with the exo though, it might be somewhat noisy in the wind.

Exo
Very true...
You could end up with more damage than without a cage, instead of single body parts to replace you now look at a total twist-up
An inside roll cage can often be secured to the strong-points- /frame-attach-points through the floor. With an exo, you need to make sure that you try to do the same (from the outside)
Just a thought:
Connect the exo-cage directly to the frame... Make it curve round your Jeep...
May be a hindrance in the woods and on slim trails, but if you roll... - You will keep rolling till you are back to rubber down
