Fobless Keys?

I like the idea of a small spare key in my wallet. Although on my last jeep I think that I only pulled it out to use it once in five years.
It would be nice when I'm out dirt biking to not worry about crushing it in a fall.

dunno what to tell you hard top folks out there, but it's kinda hard to be stranded with ur keys locked inside when u have a soft top. i think i'm going to get a spare key tho while i still have two so i can program it myself. then i want a steel one to keep up front so i can unlock my console when i realize my EZpass is locked in there as i'm driving down the road

I have not had this happen in my JK yet but reminds me to consider it. Years ago I had a plastic credit card key made at the AAA store. was only for unlocking the doors. Worked great and took up the same amount of space as a credit card. had a second one made and trimmed it out of the card and kept it in my wetsuit when scuba diving. Wonder if they (AAA) still do that?

i'm not sure if AAA still does it, but my cousin has a credit card key for his 08 tacoma. i went to check if it was AAA but it's actually from toyota themselves. i looked a bit closer and saw that the card itself is manufactured by axxess, who makes most of the key blanks you find in stores, so perhaps they make something for the JK. i'd research it a bit, but i have to run. sorry
