Anyone experience any problems or strange doings after they got the flash recall. I noticed the car does not run the same. I also noticed that the doors don't lock automatically when I drive. And they also all now unlock when I open a door. Just curious if anyone had this before I call back the dealership.

 

The recall was for the brakes and should only affect the ESP programming. Seems weird that it would affect the performance of the vehicle and or the lock mechinisms....

 

Mine actually seemed to run better after the reflash. I also had the tire size thing reflashed at the same time though. I don't have the power locks and windows though.

 

Either the re-flash "fixed" this, or the tech doing the reflash changed it for you on their side. Everything stated in the Jeep Manual the dealer gave you can be done on the computer reset.

Of course you can read up on how to put it back to what you are used to if you like. It is in the manual as well and able to be done simply without hooking it up to a dealer's computer.

No change in mine.you can set your door locks back the way you want them to work. it's in the manual, on here to if ya search for it.

U had some ESP toruble with mine recently, which was fixed by the dealer. (another thread) Anyway, after they fixed the problem, I noticed that the wheels will spin a little bit more before the ESP comes on. Before, it used to come on super fast. This is not a bad thing, just something I noticed. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

 

I am not sure about this, but I think after a re-flash of any kind, the ECU has to re-learn your driving style, so the vehicle may feel different for the next 500 miles or so. Anyone care to comment on this from experience?

 

Not that I'm aware of - and I haven't noticed a difference at all pre or post flash.
