Default Flapping Seat Belt Solution

I found a solution that works well and looks good. What I did was pop off the plastic trim peices and run the seat belt behind it. I kind of discovered it by accident, but hey it works I was cruising around with the door and top off today with no annoying flap on the driver side.

It looks like this can also be done to the passenger belt, I just haven't had a chance to try it out.

If someone else has done this, i'm sorry for the repost

Great idea, I am curious how you "accidentally" came across this idea. Does it interfere with how the seatbelt works? I just took a piece of velcro strap and put it around the roll bar and seat belt.

Cool

For the back seats on the 4-door I thought I'd just use the straps that hold skis together... like these

I found if you lower the front belts they don't flap as bad...

That was bugging the hell out of me too until I put the Windjammer on. I just tucked the seatbelt behind a couple of the straps. I like your idea though because with mine, the seatbelt doesn't retract all that great.

I haven't had any issues with belt, its been like that for about a month and no problems. As for the accident i had the trim off to run some wires. Then when i had the trim half way on i realised i was doing it worng, but then i figured it may help with the flapping.

Im doing this Mod ASAP. Did you just have to Pull the trim plastic off, or is there a method to pulling the trim without damaging the clips holding it?

nice...
