1.) Road trip comfort.
2.) Hauling people in the back seat, getting them into the back seat.
3.) Soft Top Noise (hard top is not an option, would only want a soft top)
4.) Gas mileage (in comparison to 2007 Double Cab Tacoma)

Would you guys mind helping me ease my concerns or share with me how you deal with some of the above issues? 4 Door Wrangler is not an option (cant afford one)

Would any of you trade in your 2 door wranglers for a 4 door tacoma?
You're comparing apples and oranges. Lets address these issues one at a time.

1.) How often do you take road trips. May be you should consider a Cadillac
2.) Cadillac fits this too.
3.) Cadillac fits this too.
4.) Realy?...

I had looked at a Taco myself; but you weigh your options and choose whats right for you.

I agree with some of the others that you are not making a valid comparison. You are comparing 2WD vs. 4WD. Do you want 4 door access or 4WD? Which is more important? You ruled out a 4 DR Jeep because of price, but have you considered a 2WD 4 DR Jeep?

of all the recalls that jeeps have, i dont remember jeep having one for the gas pedal getting stuck on floor and not being able to stop the poor little lathargic 6 cylinder that they come with

from what i have seen, nothing happens fast in a jeep, its just always more fun.

comfortable on the highway? will find out next week on my trip from texas to vegas to moab and then home. 47 hours of long drives should give me more info to go on there.

this is my toy, not my DD. i got punished with a caravan for the DD

i am trying to figure out how i could compare a tacoma to a jeep. each has its advantages and disadvantages. not even in the same class of vehicles.

why not get a 2wd jeep? why is a hardtop not an option, yet your second choice is a tacoma? last i checked a tacoma only came with a hardtop, and that hardtop doesnt come off easily. IMO, youre better off with a 2wd jeep than a 2wd pickup (added weight helps with traction)
