Default External temperature sensor

Does anyone know how often the external temp sensor updates? It seems like it takes a long time to change temperature. Anyone else having this problem?

Found that out while wheeling. It said it was 76 all day until I hit the road and it jumped to 101.

They are designed to update faster in the downward direction because they were primarily installed to warn of freezing conditions.

The sensor read out does not work in low range. You have to go over 20 mph for over 2 min for it to work
