Default ESP didnt kick in

Sprayed my Jeep off this morning at the car wash and when i was leaving the parking lot was ice so I decided to see how good ESP was and I gunned it a little and the tires started spinning but ESP didn't kick in. It has never been disabled, any ideas?

I just purchased mine and did the same test. I had the same result you did. My KJ ESP kicks in immediately.

If you were just going straight it will allow for some wheel spin, try the same test and kick the ass end out, it will come on and astound you!!!

x2 ESB is the electronic stability program, which is used more when your jeep becomes well, unstable! Try kicking the back out and it will come in, spinning tires going straight is more of a traction control Job

As stated above, ESP is not traction control. Traction control would keep you from spinning the tires. ESP helps in keeping you from losing control of the vehicle.

This video shows when ESP is used. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiZjeeMExY4

If you can't get it to kick in, trade it with some one who hates ESP and can't get it to disable.
