Engine Ticking, timing chain or lifters?

This is all speculation, since I am not there to listen with a mechanic's stethoscope. You should think about getting on to poke around with it and see where the tick is originating from.
It seems there are 5 or 6 ticks per second, which is 300 - 360 per minute.
The engine idles at 690 rpm or so.
Each valve's rocker arm gets a jab from it's pushrod every 2 revolutions, or about 345 times per minute.
That makes me think it is most likely valve train related. (It doesn't seem to be the low knock of a rod.)

if you have noise that gets worse as it warms up i would seriously look at oil pressure , it drops as the oil thins out with heat . could be indicative of a weak pump . put a mechanical gauge on it while its warm and see if the reading is within spec

Same Noise
I know the last post was done a few months back but did you every take your Sahara in? If so what was the outcome? I have a 2007 Rubicon doing the same thing and from my initial research it seems to be a pretty expensive fix.
Thanks I appreciate it.
