OP said he added lights.

I have seen other people add lights by using the acorn nuts on the battery. The negative terminal on the battery doesn't come with extra nuts for extra wiring (it does have extra studs). Those acorn nuts tighten the battery terminal to the battery. If you add a terminal in there it will become loose on a rough road.

I did a road trip with someone who was having electrical issues and it turned out he did just that.
