Engine rattle
2011 jeep JKU. Starting hearing a rattle or clicking from my engine while accelerating into higher RPM's. this comes shortly after realizing my engine was low on oil. Like very low. Any idea what I can expect to hear from the mechanic when I take it in? ?? How bad is it gonna be?

Did it continue after adding oil? If so then you might be in trouble. Without actually hearing the sound myself it's hard to diagnose. If the clicking stopped after adding oil it may have just been lifter rattle or the oil pump running dry. Trouble could be as bad as rod knock or even main bearing gaulding. Good luck and keep an eye on the oil stick, Jeeps are known oil burners.
