Default e-locker factory error

I took my 08 JK in for a gear swap and when the mechanic opened the rear diff he noticed that this little metal tab was not installed properly from the factory. It seems that if it does not seat into the locker ring, the ring can freely rotate, potentially pulling out the wires. I was not having any problems at 6K miles, but it was only a matter of time. (With my luck the dealer would have faulted my lift and tires and I would have had to eat the repair cost.)

So if you change out your fluids and/or diff cover, check on that metal tab!

This is how it looked when he opened it up:

This is how it is supposed to look with the tab engaging the cut-out on the ring.

Did you notice if it looked like the tab was forced out of the slot?
Did it take some bending to get it to stay in?

I can't say it looked like it was forced out, just looked like it was not put in there correctly. We just used a little hammer to coax it in line, very easy fix.
