Doors...how much they weigh?
#11
Someone had suggested in another thread that when removing the doors, sit on the seat with legs facing out. Put a towel over your knee's to help lift the door off the hinges. After the door is removed, put the towel over your shoulder, and slip your arm through to hold onto the outside door knob while carrying it to it's destination. The towel helps to prevent the indent the door will leave in your shoulder.

I apologize for the model (okay, that's me), but if anyone would like me to retake these and has a wife/GF willing to pose, let me know and you'll never see my ugly mug again.

As you take the doors on and off several times it gets easier to get them off. It doesn't change the fact that they are heavy but you get used to it. Mine are so loose that I take them off in the morning to go wheelin and back on in the evening to get ready for my work week.
This was yesterday afternoon and they were back on last night.

im a little guy with a bit of a bum back I carry them like in the picture.. however I make sure they are clean first and I put a microfiber cloth in my waist so my jeans dont scratch the door..
i also bought soft doors so that I only move my metal doors around a few times per year...
a friend of mine has a hoist rigged in his garage for removing the doors.. his back is worse than mine and his jeep has more doors than mine...
