Default Doors...how much they weigh?

As the warmer weather is getting near, I am starting to think what its going to be like with the doors off my Sahara 4dr.

My only problem...I live in a 2nd floor apartment.

Any idea how much the doors weigh?

Do you have power windows?

I have manual windows, and I must say the front doors on my 4-door weight a LOT. However, with some practice you learn the best places to grab them and it makes the job a lot easier.

I've lugged my doors up a couple of stories of stairs, and the hardest part is making sure you don't bang them into things as you take corners. Because, at least for me, if you are holding the doors in such a way to minimize their perceived weight, you will also not be able to see where you are going.

Just my

I have power windows and i cant lift my front doors. My husband has to take them off for me. He thinks they weigh round 70 pounds..leave the windows down for better handling though.

They seem like maybe between 60 and 70lbs...just a guess They are not too bad, but I wouldnt want to be carrying them up 2 flights of stairs either...

Get a bike lock and chain em to a tree

Never measured mine, but I'd say easily 60+ pounds. It does get annoying carrying them in and out of my condo (no stairs to deal with either.) I plan on getting the Bestop 2pc soft doors for it and I'll run those in the warmer months. Should also store in the Jeep behind the rear seat if my measurements are correct...perfect in case of rainy weather popping up unexpected.

Yeah, the doors are pretty heavy, but if youre a guy and cant carry them up a couple of flights of stairs, you better not go anywhere by yourself.

Carry them like this (being certain there are no keys, etc in the pocket against the door to prevent damage to the finish) ...

I apologize for the model (okay, that's me), but if anyone would like me to retake these and has a wife/GF willing to pose, let me know and you'll never see my ugly mug again.
