Default Door Hinges

Putting my doors back on and they where crazy difficult to get off. I was going to just grease them up before I put them on but then a friend suggested graphite. Has anyone ever used this before on their hinges?

I'm still pretty new to Jeeps but I know there are some hinge inserts made from Delrin (which as I understand it is a plastic impregnated with Teflon) and they seem to be highly-rated for this. I believe it involves some cleanup of the hinge parts as well to ensure a good fit and future removal if needed:

I haven't had the doors off on mine yet so I may be looking for these once I do if there's any difficulty.

Delrin inserts are great. I've had them on mine for years; still working well.

i got delrin bushings and still grease the pins. I've actually never had great luck with graphite on anything myself.

I use grease or anti seize on mine. I never reinstall the nuts, I just let gravity keep them on. I have doors off all summer and on all winter. Simply putting a little grease on in late September when I reinstall my doors has worked fine now for 4 years. They come off without any undue effort each May. And I am in NJ where I got the salted roads to deal with.

Buy the derlin inserts and the doors open and close smooth plus you can take them off easy.
