Door hinge bushings are toast
After taking my doors off for the first time this summer the plastic bushings inside the hinge got mangled. It was bad enough I couldn't get the door back in properly.
I ripped them all out thinking it wouldn't matter but now with the door back on it makes noise from being "loose" at the hinge.
Anyone had a similar issue? Any ideas what I can use for new bushings?

Mine are toast, too. The dealer wants $21 each.
Since mine are gone, I ordered one as a sample, so I can make them from Delrin rod stock. Less then $4 for enough Delrin to make all 8 bushings.
You can buy the Delrin bushings already made for about half the dealer price for their junk ones.

I'd pay you for the time/materials/shipping before paying the dealer and bending over.

Mine are pretty rough too, but I just hate buying parts that add ZERO fun factor!!! I just had to drop $30 at the dealer this week for a shifter boot and bezel b/c the plastic clips broke on the front of mine and it was flopping around when I shifted. Mod money down the drain!!!

Take the doors off, (pre-soak the hinges with some penetrating oil, first), clean up the hinge pins and holes, apply some silicone grease.
They should be back to normal if they are not too far gone.

Possibly. I've noticed that the hinge pin on one of my doors seems to be corroding and I think that is causing most of my trouble. The bushings being in horrible shape probably isn't helping either.

Now that you guys mentioned Magnitude Engineering I might just eat the $40 and go that route. The door noise without them is really starting to bother me.
Good luck on that project though! If I was a patient man I would wait to see how it turns out... you'll have to post back up after you make one.
