Default Defogger causes fog?

Anybody else have this problem? I hadn't had the jeep in cold till last week and I had to wipe the window myself while driving. Very dangerous. Should I bring it to the dealer or does the defrost just suck in jks

Mine works very well. I'd bring it up to the dealer for sure. Try to go there when you can replicate the issue.

You don't happen to smell antifreeze when you defrost do you?

Any defroster is all about getting the mix of cold and hot air just right. I tend to adjust it toward the cooler side and it clears right up.

^^^^ This. If you do, you have a leak in or around your heater core. You may need a new one. Since you have a '14, perhaps it's just something simple, like a loose hose.

I don't smell antifreeze but sometimes with the heat it has a minor electrical burning smell. Like when you run rc cars around an electric track as kids.

Also the passenger side seems to be working fine. Or my passenger wasn't as warm blooded as I am.

The new anti-freeze doesn't have the old anti-freeze potency smell. So I wouldn't just go on smell.

Was there snow or moisture on the fresh air intake on the cowl? If so, you have to brush it off or it just causes the windows to frost/fog up for a few minutes until the snow/moisture is gone.

Make sure your A/C "snowflake" is turned on. The button may seem counter-intuitive with the heat on, but it's the condenser and the drying effect will help get the humidity off of the inside of the windows.
