Need your opinions. The neighbor is finally going to buy his 1st Jeep. He doesn't know whether to get Sahara or Sport--he will never rock climb, some off roading with his kids, and more than likely leave it pretty much stock----I gave him my 2 cents but he would like to hear yours. Oh yeah it will be his DD to the tune of about 50 mi daily trip. Please respond.

Sahara all the way, worth the money. I bought a 2010 2dr sport as my daily driver. I really miss the power options. I had to buy the 18" sahara wheels to get the look and ride i was looking for,(18" rim rides a lot better imo) Had to buy and install cruise control myself. Did get the hard top and a/c witch are a must. Also the sahara comes with a subwoofer and painted fender to boot. If he's planning on a 4 door all those options are a must!

Joking aside, agreed, the power options and cruise alone are worth getting a Sahara over a Sport. I'd really recommend a customized X or even a 2010 Islander or Mountain which come standard with cruise, AC, power everything, etc...

WTF our Sport came straight off the dealers lot with everything mentioned above but the 18" rims, subwoofer, Sahara painted fenders, and Sahara plastic grey silver trim.
He needs to buy the one that speaks to his inner boy the most.

Is there any chance he will get the jeep bug??? After a few dirt trails, the bumps and challenges start to look more fun.....he might want to take it out and test it a little...if he has the money and doesn't want to modify why not a Rubi? If he only wants a smooth ride and to do light trails only he could probably choose about any 4x4 out there.
