Dealer shout-out (no joke!)
Just got my corroded hinges repainted by O'Daniels Jeep in Fort Wayne, IN I've got an '08 4dr with 34K miles. 7 out of 8 of my hinges had the tell-tale bubbling paint from the very poor idea Jeep had of assembling the aluminum hinges and the steel doors before they were painted and not putting a barrier between the two
I stopped in, told them what I found, they grabbed a camera, took pictures, and told me they would submit to Jeep and I'd hear back in a few days. They called me back as promised, got me in within a few days and then had it done in one day
My only gripes are why Jeep either doesn't change their assembly method to correct this in the future? Why doesn't Jeep issue a TSB so the dealers can just fix it on the spot?
Anyway - kudos to ODZ!

WOW! I'm amazed that you have an 08 with only 34K miles!

My 08 has 20,240 miles.
The dealer ship i got the jeep from is the worst in VA beach, I take mine to another one in Hampton and they go out of there way to help on anything the jeep needs.
