Default In Dash Clock Adjustment??

I've only owned my jk for about a month, but I was clicking through the dash display and noticed that it had what i think is a 24hr clock feature, but after searching the web and reading through the owners manual i still can't find anything about how to actually adjust the thing. Anybody have a clue? I fiddled with the trip buttons that cycle the display but it seemed to have turned the clock into a timer

Its not a clock but an elapsed time counter.

It starts and stops when you have the engine running.

Can anyone tell me what is for anyway?? I've wondered about its function since I bought my Jeep, but was always too lazy to research it. Do you avid trail riders time your adventures on the trail?

Its "elapsed time". Speaking of clocks though is there any way to set the GPS clock to 24hours instead of 12 hours? Thanks

Default Hour Meter

The actual purpose is an hour meter just like on a tractor, boat, or any industrial engine. It tell you how many hours the engine has been running. 100 hours run time will equal out to approximately 5000 miles or so +/-. thats what you would use to schedule maintenance for an engine when you don't have an odomater.

I installed the upgraded battery terminals yesterday and accidentally dropped the wires onto the battery and the horn beeped once. I thought this was strange. Now my meter is running in minutes instead of hours like it was before. I'm trying to figure out how to return it to the correct status.

I believe it resets to 00:00 when you reset your average fuel economy reading.
