So I looked at a parts diagram for the rear axle. And yes, the axle seals are on the wheel end and do not require acces to the carrier.

I still would need to remove the axles, hub assembly and then I will have access to the axle seal? Can you explain the process of replacing the rears in more detail?

Do I need to replace/remove the bearings to replace the seals?

You will need a press to remove and install the retainer and bearing.
Here is a link to a tool you will need:

Ronjenx do you have a write up on the process?

No. But, I have seen some threads that don't qualify as a write-up, but show what's involved.

I don't have a write up on this, but I did this not too long ago.

Once I pulled out the axle, I used a grinder to cut off the retainer and factory bearing. I then slid the new ones on and used a large metal pipe (a friend had one just for this purchase) to persuade the bearing into place. Just took 2 or 3 blows to push it on like a slide hammer.

It cost me about 100.00 for the retainer, bearing, and seal. It also took me a few hours. Most of the time was spend cutting off one of the nuts from the retainer because one of the bolts spun and I couldn't unbolt it! You might call around. I might pay someone to do this next time if the price is reasonable.
