Trying to change the coolant out and ran into some problems. First I cannot find the drain plug / petcock. There is a splash guard under the radiator. Is it under here?
Second I tried to remove the lower hose from the block and it is stuck. Pulling and twisting was begining to peal the layers. Should I cut it and get a new hose or is there a trick. Is there a way to lube it to keep it from seizing. Thanks.

 

I'm about to do this on mine, my suggestion, just get a new lower hose. After 2 or 3yrs the hose will be stuck. If you try to use it again , it'll leak. I've learned that a long time ago on my CJ's. In fact, you might as well get a new one now after pulling and twisting on it, it'll prolly start leaking anyway.
