2008 Jeep JKU Sport Manual 140,000 miles

My JKU is acting up in 5th and 6th gear. Usually I can hit 75-80mph no problem in 5th and put it in 6th when I am going downhill or on a flat stretch. About a week ago, I noticed that in 5th gear my RPMs would jump up to 4500 compared to usually 2500-3000, but there was no increase in speed (staying about 70mph). 6th gear is doing the same but at a lower speed. The clutch pedal also seems a little soft after I run it in 5th or 6th. 1-4th works pretty good, however, the clutch seems a little off.

All of this sounds like a worn out clutch to me, but I just replaced it in January. (8 months ago/ roughly 4000 Miles ago) I know I am not the best manual driver, but I am not so bad to wear a clutch out that fast.

Does it seem right that the clutch is worn out?
And if so, what could cause it to burn out that fast?
