Default Clutch pedal 2010 Sport

Hi all,
I was wondering, can i make a clutch pedal softer to push down? I started a job 44 miles across town one way and 50% of it is bumper traffic i must press the clutch 1000 times at least! My left foot feels its on Viagra :-) I'm not getting a new car soon.....any solutions?

Help!

It won't be cheap, but the Centerforce Dual-Force clutch is a lot easier to press than the OEM. How many miles on your current clutch and throwout bearing? If in vicinity of 100K it is going to fail soon anyway, so might be worth the cost to replace.

Primarily the throwout bearing, yes. It will start making a lot of noise when it goes bad. Once you've paid the labor to fix that, you may as well replace several other things, including pilot bearing, clutch and pressure plate. And flywheel if needed. It is getting pretty expensive for parts, but you don't want to pay labor again to replace the clutch a year later. Even if you do work yourself (which I do), it is a labor intensive job on our Jeeps. You probably want to do it once, and not worry about it for another 4, 5 or 6 years.

Hi all,

It looks like I'm in for a major workout, anybody finds a particular brand that has a low peddle pressure clutch besides the one Mark suggested I'd love to know!

Thanks for your input!

this may or may not help you, but if you do a few sets every other day, it might help:

stand on your left leg, and do 1 leg squats, 5-10 squat, 5-10 sets throughout the day, also do calf raises by standing on your toes in similar sets. youll build up your calf and quad strength and endurance, and the clutch work will be alot easier on the leg! you can do both legs if you are worried about having one ripped leg and one sad one!

i dont even drive a manual and i have calves of wrought iron

this strategy occured to me years ago when i lived in conneticut, i was stuck driving, what the hell was it, i think it was an escort, it had a stick in it, and god did that clutch suck, like after the third shift your leg was burning, so i had to beef up my calves good to commute around in it!
