Default Click from rear of Jeep

I was at a red light. Light turned green. Off the brake, on the gas and a loud 'click, comes from the back of the Jeep. I'll have to double check my shop records but I think I had the diff's serviced if not 500 miles ago, the previous service at 16,000.... Never heard the click before just curious. Suspension is basically stock with bilstein 4600 shocks.....

A click is often a u-joint, but there aren't any back there. Positive it isn't coming from the front or underneath and just sounds like the rear?

I agree with Invest2m4 diffs Don't usually click. clicking is usually the first signs you have a u joint about to go. it could also be the drive shaft cvs. crawl under the jeep and give her a visual inspection.

I wouldn't know what to look for if I crawled underneath. I'm pretty sure it come from the back as the weight shifted to the rear as I took off. It only happened once and I couldn't duplicate it on subsequent stops...

if you get under your rig, grab the shaft, twist it back and forth by hand you should see play in the joint or feel the "click", if not, grab your track bars, control arms etc and try to move them. If still nothing, then it might even been a rock dis loge from its hiding space somewhere and hit your frame at that point, also check your shocks.

I have the same issue. I was just assuming the rear brakes were sticking. The rear brakes wore out way before the front. I'm at 53,000 and replaced rear and not front. I've read the rear brakes hold you when you brake on a hill to keep from rolling backwards
