I'm guessing it's a rhythmic noise as opposed to sporadic, since you state it increases/decreases with speed. If it only occurs when you are off the gas, then this tells me that it's a component that is loose when the system is not under pressure. Do you feel any sort of jerking when coasting? It would be extremely subtle, but if you really know your Jeep, you should feel something. Considering everything you checked is to spec, it's most likely an internal part in the transmission or rear diff. Perhaps one of your gears isn't mounted properly or a pin came loose?

You can barely feel it sometimes. And within the past day it has made itself apparent on the gas and off
