Default Cigarette/Power Port

Hello,

I just bought the 08 Wrangler 4-door. I have an ipod dock that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Does anyone know a way to tighten the cigarette lighter from moving side to side. It is real loose and the ipod flops around on the bumps. I need to figure out how to tighten the power port. Thanks.

when You unplug the ipod does the power outlet wiggle ? Or is Your plug loose in the power outlet? Did You pull the tabs out a little on the plug to get a better connection ?
If its the power outlet this is how to remove per manual.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Look inside and note position of the retaining bosses (1).
3. Using special tool 9857 Power Outlet Remover. Insert the tool forcing the bosses out of base.
4. Pull out the base through mounting ring by gently rocking the tool (3).
5. Disconnect the base wires.
6. Set base aside and remove base mount ring.
The tool in step 3 looks like a T-handle it just pushing both bosses out at the same time. screwdriver can work push one boss out pull on outlet and push other boss out.( REMEMBER to disconnect battery ) or You can blow a fuse.

stick a paper match in to it, then shove in the plug, a tooth pick works to.
