Chirp to Transmission to Knock Sensor

Chirp to Transmission to Knock Sensor
I took my Jeep in for the infamous chirp. The dealer said they had to replace the clutch disc. In doing that, my transmission developed a hard knock(jerk) when shifting from 1st to second and third to fourth. I take it back in on Tuesday and they had to put a new transmission in it. I was supposed to pick it up on Wednesday but now they say the "knock sensor" needs replaced. Am I in for a long retlationship with this service department? Not a mechanic here.

They are usually inexpensive, take a good hit in the wear department, think about it everytime you pushin the pedal they are in full play, it is the weakest link in the clutch. They can get crap in it real fast, so even if the dealer wants to charge for that part, pay it! Although they should include it for free, especially since there is a TSB on that also.
If you are uncertain about what I said then ask them what it will cost just to replace that baby. This comes from more years of dealing with them then most of you have been alive.

I picked up my jeep Friday, new clutch disc, transmission, and knock sensor. Runs great with no chirp or tranny knock and hope it stays that way. Always been a jeep fan! Enjoy reading this site!
