Default Change oil light?

So the manual in my 2013 JKU says there is a change oil light that comes on when it is time to change oil. I haven't seen it. I'm wondering if it really exists. Anyone?

I've done 3 oil changes since I got my 2010 JKU Rubicon last Aug.... About 200 miles after 3rd oil change the compass/thermometer started saying "change oil" when I turned it on.... Just like a lot of cars just turn ignition to "on" position and hit gas 3 times

Change Oil Message
Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change
indicator system. The “CHANgE OIL” message will flash
in the instrument cluster odometer for approximately 12
seconds after a single chime has sounded to indicate the
next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate dependent upon
your personal driving style.
Unless reset, this message will continue to display each
time you turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN
position. To turn off the message temporarily, press and
release the Trip Odometer button on the instrument
cluster. To reset the oil change indicator system (after
performing the scheduled maintenance) refer to the following
procedure.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not
start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three
times within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.

Almost 11k miles, no light. I changed the oil with synthetic at about 3k, been waiting for that light, now I think I'm gonna change the oil again. I don't think that light is working.

I have changed my oil now 3X's and 9500 miles still no oil change message. The manual says don't go over 10000 no matter what so I will be curious to see if mine comes on before then.

The CHANGE OIL light comes on when it senses a decrease in oil viscosity. I would think if you changed your oil 3X already, the light probably won't come on before you reach 10,000 miles.

I have 7000 miles on my 2013 JK and still no light. I do about 60% of my driving on the highway so maybe I'll reach 10,000 before the light comes on. I get 4 free oil changes from the dealership, so if it hasn't come on around 9000 miles or so I'll contact the dealership.

Default Oil Change

I too have 7000 miles on my 2013 JKUR and haven't had a oil change light come on yet. Looked at my oil with a clean white towel and its just stating to get dirtyt lookn. Probably going to get the oil changed in 500 miles no matter what. What was the mileage on a 2013 JKU when the light came on?
