Default Change I change diff fluids?

Coming up on that time for me to do my second diff fluid change. First time I used Mobil 1 because the store was out of Royal Purple.

Is it okay to use Royal Purple now, or should I stick with Mobil 1 since I already used it once?

Either one is top notch. It wont affect anything if you switch to RP now.

What is the mileage I should change the fluids at? Also, how hard is it to do myself?

Wouldn't be a bad idea to check the diff oil from time to time, instead of ignoring it until the recommended changes.

I went to synthetics at 6k, and found this in the front diff. (note that this is with zero water crossings!!)

I remember a fellow jeeper talking to me about this before, but being new to my jeep I didn't really understand much of what he said. He was talking about sealing my covers to avoid water getting in. I didn't understand what he meant until I saw that pic. Totally going to discount tomorrow to pick up some fluids! Geez I'm kinda scared now .... I've done deep water crossings .....

Not to get all off-topic and stuff, but some more reading material...
