CEL No Code
My jku keeps flashing a CEL and says Gascap, I replaced the gas cap twice and had the code cleared and it came back on, I then tried the key trick and usually get all dashes, one day it threw a code but it hasn't since (don't remember code but it was related to evap system) my jeep was getting 22mpg and now it gets 12. Anyone else have similar problems and know what might need done? Jeep has not been taken off road since I had it :( everything is stock except wheels and tires, if I get the code to show again then I will let you know

One weekend I was getting gas cap code on my 2012. Fiddling with the gas cap had no effect. What fixed my problem was to wiggle the hose that goes to the evap canister under the hood. I guess it had an air leak

Do you have a stock gas cap or do you have a replacement locking cap? I had similar issues w/ CEL, but no code using the key dance. CEL cleared on its own after 3 days and b4 visit to Dealer. Dealer said Evap error code they pulled up was likely attribute to replacement locking gas cap, which is Mopar btw. They said they have seen this on a few occasions.

Here is a picture on my 2012. It is the braided hose that goes to a sensor on the round canister that is on the fire wall. It's next to the brake fluid reservoir in the picture. I wiggled this hose and the gas cap message went away many months ago.
