I dont have the manual handy, could someone PM me the weight of oil, and capacities of the front/rear?

I have the X model, and I really cant remember if it has the track lok deal in the rear or not.

Always spins all 4 off road, so Ive been happy about that! I really dont understand how either. I have disabled the ESP BAS BS
If you do a search in the writeup section, WOL, the forum owner, did a great writeup on changing the diff oil

Friction modifier is one of the nastiest smelling substances I have encountered.

Hey guys,

I've only owned the Jeep since August, so I don't know if the diff oil had been changed before. Anyways, I still wanted to warn you guys about proper ventillation, even if it was just an overnight virus that got me sick. I barely had any skin contact with the stuff, but just by inhaling it, I still have the taste of the stuff in my mouth.

Grody.

I was told by my dealer that the 2007 4X4 Wrangler Unlimited recommended differential fluid change is every 15000 mi. I was told this applies to the 2007 year only. My dealer also wanted $300 to perform this service. I held off and purchased new 'Rock Crusher' brand differential covers and enough Royal Purple for less than the $300. Now I can drain the old fluid without removing the stock covers. The rear fluid was very dirty and looked like it needed changing. The front differential fluid was cleaner (less off roading than on roading). I did this at 17000 miles.

You don't have to remove the cover to drain factory diffs either. There are both drain and fill holes from the factory. 10min job more or less. But the HD covers are nice to have

The non-D44 diffs have a drain plug, too?

Yep, the 30s and 44s both have fill and drain plugs since the beginning of this generation.
