Carpet Removal???
is there an easy way to remove the carpet from the 2 dr X?
Mine got wet in the latest round of rain. It looks like you have to remove seats and center consol to do it.

Just give them a good tug. The carpet is made up of small sections. They fit around things, but you don't have to take the seats or console out. In the Unlimited anyway. I wouldn't figure that the 2dr would be different.

Actually on my 2 dr X, I had to cut the side of the carpet to get it around the driver side seat mount.. the back ones come out easily.....i'm assuming its the same on the passenger side.. theres no way to get the front carpet out of mine without cutting a small 1" incision on the edge near the door.. its looped right around the seat mount...

I know rescue X took his carpet out okiemike, and he put a rubber floor mat type material down...
I'm thinking of doing the same thing, as anytime moisture gets back there its like mildew city.
Anyone have suggestions on materials to replace the carpet with, such as a rubber mat? I've been looking around at autozone/oreilly/pepboy/advanced etc and haven't seen anything that just looked ideal.

Well, there is that...
Cant help but laugh our asses off here... Everyone comes to the falls and goes on the Maid of the Mist tours and stares up at the falls with all the pretty mist hitting their face.. licking it off their lips and saying how awesome it is.
That water is all coming out of lake Erie, an average 62' deep sludge pit of industrial waste and raw sewage from Indiana, Michigan (and the Detroit river), New York, Ohio, Ontario, and Pennsylvania.
Yeah... awesome.
