Some times drinking and and phukn with stuff does work
If that fails, just drop the "with stuff".

I have tried scrubbing it off so much I've lightly scratched up the paint surround all the door handles and fenders.

If it was awesome offroad manly dirtiness I wouldn't care...but the mass of white stains on my blacked out 2011 is very upsetting. Its even on my metal sidesteps which I can't get it off of either.

Have used
Hot water
Peanut butter
Meguiars heavy duty vinyl cleaner
mothers back to black.

Next time im using turtle wax ICE
ehhh just take the flares off

I have done this with simple green and a stiff bristle tooth brush. Time consuming but it will come off.

The eraser works... but I have no desire to spend 8 hours going over the entire car with an eraser if I can just WD-40 it or gasoline it off.

Little side note, is WD-40 totally safe for use on the paint? Like will prolonged exposure damage anything? Their website seemed pretty confident it was ok to use on paint.
WD40 is fine on the paint. I use it to remove pine sap from my vehicles on a regular basis. As far as removing the residue from the plastic goes, I have had good luck using my power washer (2300 psi, I think) right up close to the plastic. I always get wax on my fenders, so a day or two after I wax the Jeep, I give it a good power washing to remove the residue. Good luck.

I have good luck with acetone. But you must be very carefull. Then I wash the surrounding area very well multiple times.
