Silver is the most unrewarding color on earth as far as cars, trucks and Jeeps go you'll spend 4+ hours waxing and polishing it and NOTHING nothing at all, no sharp reflection no high gloss glow from street lights, NOTHING. I hate silver anything with a passion. (did I mention I don' t like silver paint) Black will show every single little rock chip, scratch, swirl, anything... you'll see it in the sunlight and in the dark, but DAMN does it look awesome when you waste the same 4 hours cleaning it. I prefer red myself but don't really like what Jeep has to offer in that category so either Black or White it was for me at the time and black came first so that's what I went with.

Mines BF green, I love it! my previous Jeep was a black TJ yeah it was a PITA to keep clean but when it is clean "Black is Beautiful!" the BFG is a good compromise well for me when it's dark out it's black but thesun hits it just right and bam!
the 4.5 inch lifted JKUR with the stinger bumper is Pjohn's but it's also BFG

It was easy for me, My wife has a dozer jku Sahara Very nice unit but its kind of bright for me and i thought that i would get bored with it. so i went with Black and added the chrome package as this jeep will never see off roads. when its clean it real pops witj the chrome grill.

cheers pyeman

i love the color of black, but they show everything. unless you plan on line-x ing the whole jeep id say dont do black. Silver is what id pick between the two.

I like the sahara tan, which is what i bought, but i didnt see that they have that anymore either. SILVER gets my vote.

Based on your first post, you need to go with the Forrest Green or clear version.

I love my black 2012. It looks good clean or dirty. With all of the pollen out right now, it only takes a few hours outside to see a light yellow coat on it.

Thank you for all of the replies. Im leaning more toward black... I think. Although it will be a pain to keep clean it will be nice to change it up from silver. I've always wanted a black vehicle and as far as trail scratches most are on my fenders (which currently are painted). I'll be buying a rubicon and I'm not a fan of the painted top so textured fenders it is. Keep posting as I am still a few weeks away from making a purchase.

I know you said you didn't like red and I didn't either. I have always owned white trucks. Went out of my comfort zone with Deep Cherry Red and glad I did.
