Canot put Auto Trans into 1st or 2nd manually
Hello, I have an issue that I am hoping to get some insight on.
I just replaced the transfer case shift cable on my 08 JKU. Now I cannot manually shift the auto trans into 1st or 2nd.The shifter will not go past D. Other than that everything works fine. I can put it into drive and the trans functions normally. It starts in 1st and hits all the gears when driving. The transfer case works like it should with the new cable. I disconnected the trans shift cable at the shifter, it has its normal range of motion. The problem seems to be something not allowing the transmission to shift past Drive. Anybody have any ideas?

Yes, pulled it with no drama. I started to have the problem of the shifter not going into 1st or 2nd before I reinstalled the console. I been driving the Jeep every day since. It runs and drives as normal except not being able to manually pull down the trans into 1st or 2nd. There are a bunch of hills here so I like to pull down into low gear some.
