I thought the 30 case is too small for a 44 carrier. Bearing bores are bigger and the ring gear itself is nearly 1.05" bigger in diameter in 4:10. ratio

No as far as I remember, the rear one may go in as it's a 44 housing but the front is complete different. As well the rubi uses different axles. So you would need those as well to install the gears unless your keeping your carrier, but I'm not sure if the bolt pattern is the same.

Put it this way I have a set with 2,000 miles on them all boxed up as well. Kinda like sellin' ice cubes to an Eskimo. Rubi's already have 'em. Other Dana 44 high pinion applications .. Ya might have a shot at sellin' em to. I never entertained the thought of selling mine due to this fact. If ya can fit em in a 30 somehow please someone chime in I am not afraid to admit I am wrong (Actually welcome it because I can sell em @ work)

it about $179-$200. it about the same price to get a new gear. Your sahara gear is 3.73 and u have a 37 inch tire, . U can use your back which is a dana 44, which u can use that gear, but u will need to get a 4:10 gear for a dana 30 for the front. if u are planning to get a new gear, may as well get something better like a 4:56 or above, which work best with a 37 inch tire it about the same price...

if you are planing to get a new gear, may as well get a locker for it, you can hit 2 stones as once. The mechanic is going to have to take the same part out to get to the gear.
