Can this be fixed without getting a canvas shop involved? I've seen zipper repair kits for sale on jeepit.com, but I'm not sure if it what I need. Any feedback?

It's not under warranty. The insertion pin is missing; I've heard that a new one cannot be installed and that a whole new zipper needs put in. Is this true?

For the price of the Jeepit kit, I would try it. If it doesn't work, I have a 2012 up clear window set in great condition that I can sell you for about $150 or $100 for the rear window only.

That should be easy enough to fix with the kit, it's cheap on eBay and even online.
