Default Can the ESP be fully turned off?

I notice that while i'm trying to have some fun around curves on gravel roads at speed the ESP still kicks in and straightens me out. Any help?

Holding the button turns it partially off.

It is only 100% off when

A) 4-low
B) Depending on model year you perform the steering wheel dance in the owners manual to turn it off
C) Perform the wiring changes to make a kill switch for it.

Those are the only circumstances where the ESP is 100% off

Was this an available procedure for the 2007"s?

If he has not had the re-flash for the tranny temp warning, he may not be able to do the steering wheel dance.

My '07 got it when I had the reflash for the brake recall (not this latest recall, this was back in late '07 or so).

On my 2007, I went in to have my computer updated, and the extended warranty did not cover the update that was needed to reprogram for the ESP full off. The TSB for doing this is 05-001-08, my dealer gave it to me so I could pay them $95 at a later date to have this done.
