D35 who knew! Mine had a d44 and 4:10 gearing because it was optioned with the tow package. The d30 up front didn't last though.

BTW, my '07 had right at 100,000 miles on it when I bought it 2 years ago. I was burning through a quart of oil ever 1000-1500 miles. I changed the PCV valve, and it stopped. I don't lose any oil whatsover between my 3k mile oil changes. I'm at 120k miles now, and still running strong!

And yes that is correct. 44's were an ordered option. Rubi was equipped with them as stock.

My 07 JKU X was the biggest POS I ever owned. Burned more oil then gas, and leaks everywhere. Head gasket was leaking, steering box was leaking....all expensive fixes. The new engine they put in under warranty started burning oil again after 15K miles. Glad is gone. Almost made me give up on Jeep.

How a vehicle is treated has a lot to do with how it's going to hold up when it gets older.

Actually, it is not correct. All JK's except for a few early '07's had Dana 44 rears from the factory and D30's in the front. Mine had 4.1 gears and wasn't special order. The 4.1 gears were the upgrade, not the D44 as per the window sheet. That at least 2 2drs with that gearing on the lot. What the Rubi's had/have is the D44 front and rear with Lockers and the lower geared T-Case. The started making 3.73 standard in the Rubi with 4.1 being an upgrade and 3.73 the lowest gear option in the non-Rubi. As pointed out a couple of posts ago, those rigs with the D35 don't seem to turn up very often.

When I get my replacement desktop up for a scan I'll forward an 07 sales brochure. If you didn't order a build for yourself and bought off the lot the non standard equipment will be listed on the build sheet as options. Not standard.
