I have an 07 x with factory 4.10s.
There also were Dana 35s in the rear of a very small number of the very first JKs.
The 4.10 in an x was only an option in the first couple years. As well as adding rear locker and such.

Yeah you definitely got schlonged then. Could be worse. Window sticker might have said "wrangler" on it but it could have ended up being a "compass" instead. That's the loaner car the dealership stuck me with while my rig was getting warranty work done for the last 7.5 days. The compass is a POS

My bad fellas on the d35 error. I am going to dig into this tomorrow when im back to the plant and have better info for you. Ive been off couple days for new furnace and a/c install. The only d44s that are factory installed are only on Rubicons and Rubicon X. My apologies for any mis info. I will post again tomorrow with better info.

I can see the argument from both sides but it doesn't sound like an isolated incident based on the response of several others agreeing about the stated wrong gearing they've encountered on other wranglers. Now I'm curious to see how many Rubi's with supposed 4.10 gearing have been schlonged and running 3.73's this whole time. Hell, for the guys that got Sport/Sahara models with the max tow package did they actually get 3.73 gears or did they also get schlonged with 3.21's? lol I wonder how many of these Rubi buyers have actually bothered checking lol
I'm gonna have to check my 15 Sahara here in a little bit because I've been courious about the way it runs. Build sheet shows 3.21 but I don't run like people describe those gears. Maybe I got lucky and they put 3.73s in mine!!!!
