A good coat of quality wax after a clay bar treatment will bring back a great shine after the winter months have taken its toll on your paint.

Baby oil, the plain old Johnson's, work quite well. It combines with the thick tar and "thins" it out so it can wipe off. At least that's what we used down here on the Gulf coast after BP tried to destroy the world.

I got angry with it. Ha. Tarminator and rags weren't really working. WD40 and baby wipes didn't phase it. With all the stuff I sprayed on it the plastic wheel well will probably disintegrate tomorrow. I left it soaking and went after it with a plastic scraper. Not sure how long I was out there or how pretty it is, but most of it's gone now.
Thanks for the help. Everything I used probably helped loosen it up... And maybe killed a few brain cells too!

Well one of the products I applied for this got on my black tubular side steps and stained them a lighter color. I've tried soap, Back to Black, but nothing seems to help. Am I just up a creek?
