Bug guards! Worth it?
I was curious about the bug/stone guards if anyone has them and if they noticed a differance. Of course right now it is winter in nw pa. and not many bugs but soon enough the bugs will be back out and the windshield will be once again coated with every bug that cant see that it is a Jeep ahead and he will not stand a chance. I searched for other threads but no one seemed to be able to answer the before and after question. Hopfully someone has some insite on these.

I don't think they are. I bought the mopar one and used it for a day before selling it on ebay. I just hate the way they look and I dont think they can really deflect enough air to really help with bugs. They do protect the edge of the hood, but a better bet would be getting the clear 3m bra installed. My jeep is a redrock sahara and it just did not look good or seem to do anything.

I have one but cannot answer your before and after questions as I had mine put on before delivery. That way it has a 3 yr/36K mile warranty over just the one year if put on later.
I'm hoping mine makes a difference and I actually think it looks pretty good. I also think it may be helping with the hood lift issue as mine seems really stable.

My 08 has no hood lift issues at all. I still have the stock air deflector below the bumper (would not dare call that plastic garb a skid plate) on though.
