Default Brake pedal clunk / click after rough roads (pad knockback?)

I have a recurring issue with my 2007 JKU that's starting to get on my nerves. After driving on rough roads I get a clunk or click when applying the brakes. This is accompanied by a moment of decreased resistance in the pedal. The brakes work fine but it's irritating. It goes away eventually but it take a long time.

I was thinking the pads might be getting knocked back in the calipers due to the vibration but I'd expect that to clear up pretty quickly.

Anyone else experience this or have any feedback?

Thanks!
