Body damage while backing
Hi all,
I recently had an 'oops!' moment while backing up on a trail, had a tree in my blind-spot. I stopped by a local body shop and they want $1500 to 'repair' the damage. The affected area is the driver-side rear quarter panel. I'm wondering if I can simply pound out the dent as best as possible then cover the area with a diamond plate guard, rather than leaving my Jeep in a shop for 5 to 7 days. I'll have to buy a new taillight assembly and license plate mount, but that's the only real damage.
Just looking for feedback from others that have had body damage while trail riding and how you dealt with it.
Thanks for your feedback!
Jonathan
