My Jeep is new, so this is relevant to me.
I have a 2010 with about 700 miles. Has 6 speed and 3.73 gears.
My first tank averaged 19, the 2nd tank averaged 18 (more city driving). I was thrilled, since the HWY rating is 19. If it improves a little with more miles, super.
Coming from a 03 Ram truck that consistently got about 12 MPG in the same driving that the Jeep just got 18, I'm on cloud nine. I like the new ride better too!
The mileage cited was determined by the computer for both vehicles.

09 Rubi,Auto, 4' lift, and 35's. My gas mileage sucked when new,14.5, and it still sucks now with 5k on the meter, 13.5.
I didn't buy it for the MPG's, but dang, with this kind of fuel mileage, I could have had a V8 ! LOL.

14- 15 tops, 2010 islander with rubi tires and auto 3.73. Banks exaust and K&N made no difference. That said, is there anyway to have the mpg counter in the dash to start over each time you fill up??? I havent been able to find the science so to speak but am able to rest the trip counter and ETA timer etc, just not the mpg....
