My neighbors thought that for the first few years... They all caved and now occasionally I get a yell as I drive down the block, "it's clay bar day!" as they detail their vehicle. Haha.

Try using a wash of white vinegar, water, car wash soap. The vinegar will remove the minerals that make up the water spots. Then wash again with just the soap and water. I've had to do this several different times on the wifes SUV. The sprinkler system wacks out where she works, and her SUV is covered with water spots.

I use a mixture of %50 vinegar and %50 water to remove extremely stuck on water spots. I've been using this on my boats for the last 10 years and it works extremely well on tough water spots.

The vinegar won't hurt anything. Give your jeep a good coat of wax after the wash.

I would think vinegar would strip any wax or protectant you already have on the jeep.... As would a clay bar. Be sure to cover with wax afterwards.
