You want to keep the weight of whatever you are towing as close as you can to being distributed evenly over the axle/axles. Try to keep as much as you can off the tongue and at the very rear and that will help with the squat as well.
But not too far rear, because that can cause uncontrollable trailer sway.

I tow with the Bilstein 5100s, and it is a great improvement over the stock UNLTD Sport shocks. I am changing over to Teraflex 3" coil springs which I am assuming will improve the towing ability even more. I say assume because people have told me they have a higher spring rate than the stock springs, but I have not had independent confirmation from TF.

This, crank them up while towing and drop them down when not towing.
