How many of you had an axle seal fail.
If so, please post your mileage and mods if any.
Is everyone using stock diff covers or have you up-graded?If up-graded,don't measure your level by the after market fill hole,i have found this adds too much oil to the carrier, thus over filling and leaks will happen

08 jku 6sp. No off roading yet. I am the second owner. Only 35k miles. Being the second owner jeep dealership told me they would not replace the front passenger side seal under warranty. Is there an outside seal on the front axle. Everything is stock by the way.

08 jku 32k miles, replaced both rear seals and bearings pursuant to finding rear wheels to have play and leaking oil... Went ahead and did shafts too.
Brought it to the dealership they advised me that I've owned my jeep for greater than 3 years and basically turned me away.

Both rears have failed. Only mod to that axle is gears.

One front and the only mods to those are: Evo sleeves and gears.

Bought my new 2012 a few weeks ago and it had 9 miles on it. I had a 300 mile drive back home and when I got home I noticed the passenger side rear seal leaking. Took it to the dealer he next day and they found that the axle bearing was put in backwards from the factory. It got a new bearing, seal, retainer and fluid. I now have 900 miles on it and no issues. I was pretty disappointed at first but I realize things do happen.
