Default Automatic transmission broken!

Okay so i just installed my new 3" lift and 33's and decided to test my rig out on some of my buddies trails. while wheeling i went the wrong way and got burried! i rocked my self out eventually and everything seemed fine for the rest of the time. howeveer when i got back out on the road i noticed that my AT would not shift into first or third it just stayed in second! so i tried putting it in first and no luck... and when it finally started upshifting on its own now it wont downshift on its own...so when i stop its still in overdrive and i press the gas pedal to takeoff it runs up to 3000 rpm and slams down all the way to first! any clues as to what is wrong and if it should be warrantied?

I never had this happen in a JK but had the very same thing happen in a Cherokee turned out being water in a connector.
Good luck

Check your wiring harnes, make sure it didn't fall onto the front driveshaft and short out.

Have you checked the dip stick for proper level and condition of fluid?

Default transmission

I would have it delivered to screaming lizards. when my manual was messed up i took it to them. they doctored it up and took it to the dealership for me. $500 to screamin lizards $3200.00 covered under warranty when they took it in for me.

Default tranny

oops didn't realize where you are from sorry. I would find a local 4wd shop to check it out maybe they can help you get it covered under warranty.

sounds like 2 problems harness damage and cable /arm bent or binding on tranny. If you rocked this back and forth for 20 minutes then you didn't do this tranny any good. A good tow strap will keep you out of this situation.. not preaching, okay? Best of luck!
