Auto transmission stuck at 2
Hello
I got a jeep wrangler JK 2012, the gear stuck at 2. I tried to use the tip elec but it didn't work. I also got engine light on.
My gear has a 315/70R17 tyres and ring and pinion 4:10, I took to the dealer and the could not figure out what is the problem
So they decided to open the gear box which I refused. Could any one help me to solve this problem.

that's weird I know you can manually shift on an 12 auto. my wife has done it to me several times with her purse hitting the shifter.. man why is there not an option to turn this off it really aggravating when driving down the road and all of a sudden it starts redlining..

your trans is obviously stuck in limp mode for some reason.
A few questions.
Have you changed to aftermarket diff gears?
Have you used a tuner?
It is likely the transmission is throwing a fault and thus putting it in limp.
Could be as easy as a valve body. Could be as bad as a new trans.

When I asked the dealer they said to open the gear box and they not sure if the problem is there or not.
Because my car is modified, the warranty no longer rule, a stupid rule!!!
